Journey Within's Founder - Diane Chorney
Diane Chorney is the latest addition to the Aromatica team with the recent opening of her satellite school on beautiful Nellie Lake minutes away from Iroquois Falls, in Northern Ontario. Diane is a Registered Myomassologist and Myomassology Instructor, as well as a Reflexology, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Tui Na, Acupressure, and Contraction Release Therapy Practitioner. She is also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Usui and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher.
Born and raised in Timmins, Diane had a dream of one day opening a lakefront retreat and education centre enabling Northerners to receive an education in the North. She wished to offer a myriad of services and therefore began her education in the natural health field.
Diane began her studies in the field of alternative medicine in 2002, studying as an apprentice under a Native Traditional Healer. Diane travelled to remote Northern communities such as Chisasibi, and Nemaska, Quebec. This led her to want to further her knowledge and she began studying nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, graduating in 2004 with honours as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. During this period Diane also read extensively about energy medicine. Reiki was her next field of study. She received her Usui Reiki Master status in 2002, followed in 2004 by her Karuna Master status. She has been teaching Reiki since 2002 all over Northern Ontario and has students as far as British Columbia and has offered therapy as far North as Attawapiskat, Ontario.
Wanting to add further services to her future retreat centre led Diane to enroll in Aromatica’s Registered Myomassology Practitioner Program. She completed her studies in September of 2005, graduating with the designation of Registered Myomassology Practitioner, RMP. During the course of the program, instructor and director of Aromatica, Jeffrey Cottam, encouraged Diane to one day open a satellite school in Northern Ontario.
In March 2009, Diane finally achieved her dream of acquiring a beautiful lakefront property to house her retreat centre. She contacted Jeff and discussed the possibility of opening a satellite school, the first of its kind in Northern Ontario. Jeff and Diane set a start up date of September 2009. Construction began to provide on-site accommodations. Two guest houses with luxurious amenities were completed in fall 2009.
Journey Within, Holistic Study and Retreat Centre, and the Northern School of Myomassology were officially opened in September 2009. The school started up with a full class of 6 students from all over Northern Ontario, such as Iroquois Falls, Matheson, Earlton and Attawapiskat. The students are thrilled to be able to maintain their employment, be with their families AND go to school! Each of them had looked at education in the South, but, had not fulfilled their dream as they could not overcome the barriers of cost and leaving their families. The Northern location enabled them to pursue their dream for the first time. In addition to the school of myomassology, Journey Within also has a team of practitioners offering yoga, sacred circle dancing, tai chi, meditation, life coaching, art therapy, nutrition and reiki workshops as well as regular guest workshop facilitators.
Growth is the key word at Journey Within! Expansion of the myomassology program now includes two new locations in Sudbury and North Bay as well as Wawa in the Spring of 2012! Now students across Northern Ontario will be able to partake in the program close to home!
Journey Withing is now a full holistic study and retreat centre with a different retreat each month on topics such as past life regression, law of attraction, wellness, sweat lodges and more.
Once you choose to arrange a session with Allan, your guides and his guides begin to plan what you will see and feel. There is no Hypnotism involved, or putting you into some deep trance, or meditation state. Ultimately who brings the people to him are the people’s guides, and they and you are in control during the session. Allan is just the plug into the wall so to speak.
You will probably find that you are much more Spiritual than you ever thought you were, and this is much more easier than you thought it would be. You will have a 10 minute talk before the session about what happens and the process, which also gives you choices of areas you may not have known you could explore. This answers a lot of the questions you probably would ask anyway. Your Guides will not show you as a bad person.
The Guides may show people being mean to you , so you can understand why these people are the same way this life, and then let it go or forgive them in the now.
The only time the Guides put you into a slight trauma situation, is if you have some pain this life, that they wish you to heal and release, from a wound in a Past Life. There will be a small discomfort, but no real pain attached to the experience, and you can totally eradicate it in your present life.
